<국문초록>

본 연구는 흙집을 대중적으로 보급할 수 있도록 단열과 고비용의 문제점을 해결하여 한옥의 공간구성원리를 적용하고 단열을 강화하여, 초기 비용과 유지비용의 원가를 절감할 수 있는 흙집 프로토타입을 제안하고자 하였다. 이에 기존 흙집의 현황과 문제점을 알아보고, 한옥의 공간구성원리, 단열성능을 높인 주택, 소규모 주택의 변화에 대해 알아보고 다음과 같이 적용하였다.

한옥의 공간구성원리를 알아보고 공간구성요소 중 온돌과 대청을 적용하여 난방공간인 겨울집과 비난방공간인 여름집으로 기본유형을 구성하였고, 패시브하우스의 단열적 특성을 접목시켜 흙집의 단점을 개선하고자 하였으며, 규모는 100㎡ 이하의 소규모의 주택으로 한정하였다. 겨울집은 내부안목치수 기준으로 6.0×4.5m으로 하고,주방과 욕실이 없는 방 추가형의 경우 3.0×4.5m,6.0×4.5m의 두 가지 유형으로 나누어 적용하였다. 겨울집의 구성은 흙타설, 흙벽돌, 흙다짐 등으로 기둥을 구축하고,한옥의 심벽을 응용한 이중심벽으로 벽체를 만들고 그 사이에 단열재를 채워 단열기능을 강화하였다. 여름집은 벽 없이 기둥, 마루 및 지붕을 목구조만으로 구성하여 간단한 시공으로 비용을 절감할 수 있도록 하였다.

겨울집과 여름집 기본유형이 확장된 조합은 일반형과 확장형으로 나누었다. 일반형은 기본적인 조합형태로 겨울집 기본유형과 여름집 기본유형이 하나씩 조합되어 구성하였으며 60㎡의 규모이다. 확장형은 일반형에 방추가형이나 겨울집 기본유형을 추가한 조합으로 확장할 수 있으며, 이는 가족 인원에 따른 증축이나 코하우징 형태로 확장하여 적용할 수 있다. 일반형(WaS)을 대상을 설정하여 분석해 본 결과, 초기 공사비(Initial cost)는 기존 흙집에 비해 31% 절감되었고, 유지비용(Running cost)의 측면에서는 패시브하우스와 같은 총난방요구량이 계산되었고,이는 같은 수준의 에너지절감 효과를 예상할 수 있었다.

이에 에너지를 절감할 수 있는 흙집 즉, 원가절감형 흙집 프로토타입을 겨울집, 여름집의 기본유형과 조합된 유형인 일반형, 확장형으로 제안하고,이를 테라패시브하우스(TerraPassiveHouse)라 명명한다.

본 연구는 기본유형을 기반으로 다양하게 확장하여 적용이 가능하며, 다양한 공법과 마감재료 등과 디자인적 요소를 접목시킨다면 대중적인 소규모 주택으로서 다양하게 활용이 가능할 것으로 기대할 수 있다. 향 후, 본 연구를 활용하여 성능테스트 및 현대주거에서 요구되는 성능기준의 비교를 통해서 거주자에게 필요한 실내환경의 새로운 모델을 제시할 수 있도록 공학적인 연구가 필요할 것으로 보인다.
